Folks are amazed at the fact I don't drink. They often exclaim "wait, but you're opening a distillery?" I then go into a diatribe about how I like the science and alchemy behind distilling and mixing cocktails. Sure, alcohol may be a "social lubricant', but so is simply being a part of the scene... while holding a beverage. The camaraderie we all feel in bars, clubs or at festivals when sipping a drink is genuine. It's a starting point for conversation and it's a way to broaden our own palate for what we may, or sometimes, may not like. At Broken Glass I'd like to offer NA (non-alcoholic) options for cocktails along with the alcoholic ones. Being a non-drinker is part of my story and who I am. I'm sure there's others out there that will appreciate the opportunity to enjoy a well made mocktail in an inclusive setting.

Get a glimpse at the beginning stages of Lancaster's first distillery Friday July 17  from 6-9 . Grab a mocktail and say "hi" to the team. Unfortunately we aren't able to allow visitors "behind the curtain" but we'll do our best answer any questions you may have regarding Broken Glass Distillery.
